NY Tractor Parts – Returns & Exchange Policy
We understand that sometimes parts need to be returned, whether they’re no longer needed or there’s an issue. This policy explains how returns and exchanges work depending on the reason and timing of your return.
Returns for Unwanted Items (“Change of Mind”)
Within 14 Days:
• You may return an item within 14 days of receiving it.
• You must notify us in writing (email or letter), via the telephone or via the returns form to cancel the order.
The item must be:
• In unused, resalable condition
• Returned with original, undamaged packaging
• Adequately packed and insured for return shipping
Customer responsibilities:
• Return shipping is at your own cost
• We do not accept returns for specially ordered or custom parts
Exception – Return Carriage Charges:
• Where NY Tractor Parts Ltd agrees to collect an unwanted part, return carriage charges arranged by us are non-refundable.
Between 14–28 Days:
• Returns between 14 and 28 days may be accepted, but only at the sole discretion of NY Tractor Parts.
• No returns accepted for specially ordered items
Between 14-28 Days If Accepted:
• A credit note or exchange may be offered
• Cash refunds may incur a handling/restocking fee
Return must include:
• Your invoice or order number
• A completed Returns Form
• Proof of shipment
• In unused, resalable condition
• Items must be in original, undamaged packaging
• Adequately packed and insured for return shipping
• Return postage remains the customer’s responsibility
After 28 Days:
• Returns are not accepted after 28 days, unless the item is covered by a valid warranty claim.
Returns of Kits:
• Complete kits must be returned for any refund or exchange.
• No refund will be issued for partial kits or missing components.
Return of Exchange Units ("Old Units" / "Cores"):
To receive credit on exchange items (such as alternators, starter motors, hydraulic pumps):
• Old units (“cores”) must be returned within 90 days of delivery.
Core returns must:
• Be complete, serviceable, and drained of fluids
• Match the type and model originally supplied
• Not be disassembled or tampered with
• Be returned in the original packaging used to ship the new part
Important notes:
• If the unit is damaged or incomplete, credit may be reduced or denied
• No abrasive cleaning (e.g., sandblasting or glass beading) – it will result in automatic rejection
• No credit will be issued for cores returned beyond 90 days
Warranty-Based Returns
• If your item has developed a fault and is still within the warranty period, please refer to our Warranty Policy (available separately) for guidance on process and coverage.
Other Returns
• Any return outside of these categories will be reviewed under our statutory obligations or warranty policy.
• Return acceptance is not guaranteed unless all required information is provided.
Returns Processing
• All returns are subject to physical inspection before any refund or exchange.
• Returns are processed as quickly as possible, typically within 3-5 working days of receiving the item.
• If the item fails inspection or does not meet return conditions, no credit will be issued.
